This session was played on or around November 10, 2017.

I played for a bit more than an hour, starting after recruiting Relm the knight to join Locke the thief, Strago the white mage, and Terra the black mage in the mountain near Thamasa. We didn't actually do very much with this team though, as after a battle or two we triggered the big clump of events that trigger at Thamasa. There wasn't really much that made this distinct or interesting in terms of the "classic jobs" playthrough but at least I got to appreciate the Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition's version of the text.

Even at the time, I wasn't sure why I decided to do this in the hack, but I gave Leo the Bushido command and the Masamune. Although this doesn't really conform to the "classic jobs" paradigm at all, these battles are essentially scripted... and I think I had repurposed Leo's Shock command when I created the Flee command for my thieves. Thus... some kind of change was necessary here.

Then... cutscenes. Lotsa cutscenes.

After cutscenes, when the gameplay kicked off for realsies around the 19-minute mark of the video, I went to the auction house to try to get Golem and Zoneseek, which took us up to about the 27-minute mark.

I formed a party of lowest-levelled characters, with Relm the knight, Gau the thief, Celes the white mage and Setzer the black mage.
My first party formation post-Thamasa

I didn't really think about what to do at this point; the next thing to progress the story is to ascend to the Floating Continent but... I didn't want to yet. I decided just to spend a couple of battles at the Bomb Forest, which is kind of silly since the Rage command effectively doesn't exist. Whatever; Setzer can use some magic points. I actually spent a considerable amount of time here (over 20 minutes!) as it took ages to run into a Grenade.

Then I tried to fight an Intangir. It didn't go well.

Let's get down to business.
When we do go to the Floating Continent, we do so without a thief since Shadow is up there. I get rid of Gau and unequip him, and then start the IAF battle sequence. Setzer learned Thundaga by fighting bombs. He also has Osmose to recover MP when needed, so the IAF battles are trivial.

Given my strong -ara tier spells, I didn't think Ultros and Typhon were going to be hard at all. Relm the knight is doing nearly 1000 with normal physical attacks, too. Blizzara was doing over 4000 damage to Typhon.

That one wrapped up pretty quickly!

The Air Force boss also took ample damage from Thundara but I thought it's Speck/Bit thing might complicate things. It didn't; the Bit was clobbered very quickly by Relm's mighty sword and Thundara took out Air Force nice and quickly.

We met Shadow and equipped him for his thiefy needs. As the unusual music of the Floating Continent rang out, I had a long, ranty talk about appreciating video game music in the mid-90s and then wrapped up.
