This play session was played on January 3, 2021, just the day after the previous session where we gave up on stealing equipment from Elmdor.

I reasoned that the upcoming battle with Zarela and a few undead cronies was not as status effect-heavy as the prior battles, and re-equipped accordingly. We are joined in this fight by Meliadoul, the poorly-equipped chemist. Meliadoul contributed to the battle with the undead enemies by throwing potions at them for 30 damage.

This battle was weird. Some of the decisions made by Zalera and the enemy knights were puzzling, like when Zalera targetted his own minions with Nightmare and put an undead knight to sleep.
Have a good nap, undead knight!
There was a lot of dying and a lot of revival. Even the enemies revived a bit, with two of the three skeleton enemies getting their 50% chance at coming back. I decided I was further ahead dealing with them by turning them into frogs.
Skeleton frogs!
Eventually I had the battle mostly managed with units knocked out except for Zalera. However, it occured to me that there aren't really many battles with guest characters through to endgame and both Krile and Lenna had chemist JP pools in the 270s. If I let Meliadoul perform a handful of actions, they could both learn either X-Potion or Ether which had some potential to be useful. I decided to draw out this boss fight. I didn't realize until I was about 45 minutes into this fight that Zalera is not immune to stat breaks, which would've made things considerably faster and easier.

Once I saw that Lenna and Krile had 300 chemist JP, I threw on auto-battle, and Bartz defeated Zalera with his Excalibur just seconds later. I'm quite lucky I didn't accidentally win the battle earlier.
Bartz defeated Zalera just after we met our quota.

After Limberry Castle, we learned a few more item abilities and bought a few backup items. We were moving on for some further shopping and had a random battle at Poeskas Lake. It was undead and bombs and we started on the high ground, so it was very easy.

We did propositions around Zarghidas and Zeltennia. We didn't even have enough money for the job details for several of them. It was questionably useful in general, although it did result in Faris getting a Thief Hat.
"So, it's GDQ season. Remind me that I don't wanna see an 'all propositions' run of Final Fantasy Tactics."

We started a random battle at Finath River with panthers and dragons; I was very pleased to see the lack of chocobos. On a map with a river with tons of enemies who can't cross water, you can sometimes abuse the terrain pretty badly.
The enemies are all lined up being hit by big spells.
Toward the end of this battle, when it was already a done deal, the stream died somewhat and thus there's another video here.

Next, we got a random battle at Grog Hill, with mostly chocobos. It went favourably for many reasons, including a charmed red chocobo doing some of the work for me.

I got to Lesalia and Goland and saved up for the day.
