beege_man said to take on Lich... and I did.

From about 6 minutes in through about 30 minutes in there's a long portion of the run where I'm explaining all of the rules and their significance (from my perception). I'm distracted by the gameplay and other factors so I'm rambling for ages about it, but maybe it could be useful if you're new to the run.

On my first deep Earth Cave dive, I suffered a quick mass-petrification against a group of Cockatrices. However, when I actually managed to get to Lich at the bottom, the battle went well!

This was very satisfying. I mean, I know I'm not at some crazy low level but I have a reasonable number of restrictions including a dead party member and no running, so I thought Lich was a longshot. I think you'll enjoy watching this battle. There were a few unlikely things that happened that made the fight go quickly.
Defeating Lich!
Most notably in this fight, Mars managed to get AICE out immediately before Lich used ICE2, and Mars also managed to cast FAST on Tick (my current living fighter) before he attacked, which then did 6 hits totalling over 300 damage.

Beating Lich was nice, but then I also finally managed - not without issue - an appreciative nature walk to Crescent Lake and a long overdue shopping trip (or two *cough*). The aforementioned issue was a TPK against a group of PEDEs, but thankfully I had been using tents so I didn't really lose much progress at all.

The very long-overdue Crescent Lake shopping endeavor resulted in some potions and houses, Silver Shields and Gauntlets for fighters, two Silver Swords (finally), and a Buckler for Mars.

Next up is the Ice Cave, since I don't really have other options.

Something to consider going forward is that Wood was dead against Lich - and he was the only one who was dead. This means someone other than Wood must be dead for all subsequent fiends because of Diamond_Dragon's rule. If Wood and another warrior are dead, that still meets the criteria the way we talked through it.

So, suppose Wood and Mars both died against Kary next. That would just mean that someone other than Wood and Mars would need to be dead against the next fiend - say Kraken. If Tick then solo'ed Kraken, someone other than Wood, Mars and Look would need to be dead vs. Tiamat, which would of course mean that Tick must be dead.

I wonder: once I'm overlevelled from the Lefein nature walk, how I can kill off individuals in the party?
