Well, I did not expect to finish the run when I started playing tonight... but by very pleasant coincidence, it's all done!
Given that it's less than an hour and a half, if you're the type who would sit and watch a game I'd like to suggest you just watch the whole thing. This particular one is content-dense and more entertaining than most of my sessions.
The first thing to note would be the battle with the Blue D at the top of Mirage Tower. Or, at least, that would have been notable if Looki didn't immediately end the battle in a single action.

The second thing, unfortunately, was that I ran into WarMech. It didn't go well, and somewhat upsettingly it was close. My actions were essentially completely forced by the rule that prevents running from battle, and it really seemed like the team was going to win until Looki took 296 damage from NUCLEAR when he had 290 HP.

The next Blue D fight also went well, but not as well as the first. I managed to sneak in a Heal Staff usage, counting on these heavy hitters to clobber the Blue D in one turn, and that's exactly what happened.
Defeating the Blue D

The Tiamat battle may have been my favourite one of the day. It was Mars' turn to be dead against a fiend, which was fine. It went like this, on the very first action of the battle:
Defeating Tiamat

So then we attempted the Temple of Fiends of the Past! We got to Phantom in good shape, and took him out on turn 1 without taking damage. On some runs he can be a real pain point, given his game-highest single hit damage (I think?).
I got quite lucky against past Lich, too! He did go early but only used a regular attack, so the team didn't get NUKEd and eliminated him on turn 1.
Defeating Lich the prequel!

I didn't get quite so lucky with Kary 2 - but nearly. She took a good chunk out of Looki on round 1 but Wood struck her down early in round 2.

Kraken 2, well, I wasn't even really watching. We got inked and I don't think we took damage. Again, I've had runs where Kraken is the big showstopper. Against Tiamat 2, I attempted to use the Bane Sword with Tick - who was very much lagging in damage potential compared to Wood and Looki - and it failed. After that, knowing that I couldn't use anymore items for the duration of the battle, I fast-forwarded the violence. We took some damage but won handily. (You can't really tell what happened in the video as a result of a quality drop mixed with fast-forward.)

And then there was Chaos! It is a bit funny going into the final battle of such an epic quest and realizing, that because of the rules, I can use one single magic item of my choice and other than that I just have to use the "fight" command to pummel the root of all evil.

Partway into the battle with Chaos, I realized I hadn't even thought about going to get the Masmune. The team was strong and that very likely would've paid off, but it legitimately didn't occur to me. It certainly could've helped Tick to contribute.

I was really worried about Looki dying as the battle proceeded. Tick wasn't doing meaningful damage, so he used a Heal Staff and tried to keep Looki alive. Ultimately, it was Wood the nature-loving knight who delivered the final blow! I enjoyed the fight though there certainly wasn't a ton of strategy at play and Chaos was very gentle with me.

In a way I got pretty lucky in that I saw a lot of Chaos' special attacks, such as Crack, Inferno and Swirl. Though they can be quite damaging, each "special" used delays him going through his spell list toward things that could really wreck my day, like SLO2 and CUR4.

During the ending, I reviewed the rules and how they impacted the run, discussing the interest of each of them. This includes a number of thanks to my rule-givers and a small number of other shout-outs.

It's worth acknowledging that I did technically botch one of my rules during the very final session. When I revisited the Dwarf Cave to get Xcalber, I walked through every forest tile... but only once! It was maybe 20 forest tiles with pitiful early-game enemies so I don't think it's the biggest deal ever, but I wish I had observed the rule properly. If you want to call the run invalidated, I guess you're free to do so.

I recognize this wasn't the most intense "challenge run", if it even qualifies, but it was a way of seeking a different way to play the game and change up the experience and in that respect it strongly succeeded. I would love for someone else to try this and I am sure I can come up with some good bans.

I'd like to thank everyone who banned things and to others who showed support or interest. It takes a village... a village where you can only access each shop once.
