freshfeelingThis next session was a much shorter one, played on January 16, 2018.
My plan was to just play the first couple of battles of Chapter 2, starting with the second battle at Dorter - one that is considerably easier than the first, usually!
Faris was able to charm an enemy thief right away, which was exciting, but one of his allied wizards hit him with a rod to get him back to his senses; oh well, it still wasted an enemy's turn. Gafgarion and Agrias don't have access to their usual overpowered sword abilities, but this was still easy. There were a whole lot of AoE spells being slung around on both sides.
After this battle, Lenna learned Frog. Since Dorter and Orbonne are both blue dots, I even allowed Bartz, Krile and Lenna to complete our first proposition. Lenna had a good feeling! We did some shopping, learned a couple more abilities, and headed into Araguay Woods.
With plenty of goblins, this might've been a good time for Lenna to know an Ice spell... but she doesn't. Agrias and Gafgarion were playing some other game, I think, but our team was more than a match for the goblin squad. By the end of the battle I was actually sort of screwing around with most characters on auto-battle. It was... unexciting.
After this battle, Faris learned Steal Helmet (which for some reason I thought was really important compared to other steal abilities), and then I saved up!
